Frosted Sugar Cookies:
The best sugar cookie recipe! This was the first time I tried it, it will be my new go to for sugar cookies. They are the best day 2 and 3. I stored them in an air tight container and they stayed so soft!
- Recipe:
- (2) sticks unsalted butter
- (1) 8 oz. block of cream cheese
- (4) cups of all purpose flour (I used King Arthur gluten free flour)
- (3) cups sugar
- (1) egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 Tbs vanilla
- Bake on 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes. Remove before they get brown or they will become dry and lose their shape
Semi-homemade treats! (Sandra Lee Style aka my favorite way to cook and bake)
DIY cheesecloth ghosts:
All you need is cheesecloth & white glue. Dip the the fabric in the glue but squeeze out the excess. Then drape the fabric over the โformโ and let dry for at least 12 hours.
You can make the โformโ out if anything that gives a ghost shape. I taped a small ball to the top of a short glass bottle. Then taped popsicle sticks to the bottle to drape the fabric for the arms. Iโve also seen a balloon on top of a water bottle with pipe cleaners for the arms too.
For the eyes, I used black rhinestones I already had. You can use googly eyes or cut small circles from black felt.
Home Decor:
In the three pictures above I re-purposed branches from our yard to create Halloween decor. These crows from Amazon give it a spooky but simple look.
