Wedding flowers can be one of the most expensive budget items in a wedding budget.

I didn’t want to spend more than $600 and I figured out a way to do it with lots of help!

I placed the order 6 weeks before the wedding and scheduled the delivery date 2 days before the wedding. I highly recommend a buffer of 2-3 days to allow the flowers to acclimate and open up.

The best part is I ordered everything I needed from my phone. The flowers came from Costco and the floral supplies came from Amazon.

I did order baby’s breath and eucalyptus from the local flower shop. I also shopped around for the vases. They came from Walmart, At Home and Michael’s.

For reference we needed 14 centerpieces, 4 bouquets, 1 flower girl bouquet, 2 corsages, 4 boutonnières and an arbor. We had flowers left over for 1-2 additional arrangements that were placed in the reception space.

Here’s everything I ordered with prices:

  • Costco:
    • 4 each 6’ long fresh greenery garlands $109.99
    • 50 stems of white roses $49.99
    • 2 each 24 stems of white hydrangeas $139.98
    • 2 each 24 stems of blue hydrangeas $139.98
  • Shipping was free (from Columbia!)
  • Order total with tax was $467.44
  • Local Florist:
    • 1 bunch of baby’s breath $13
    • 1 bunch of seeded eucalyptus $13
    • 1 bunch of silver dollar eucalyptus $13
  • Order total with tax was $43.00
  • Grand total for flowers: $510.00
  • Amazon floral supplies:

The flowers were packed with care. Each hydrangea stem was individually wrapped and had its own small bag of water that was tightly wrapped with a rubber band.

As soon as they arrived I unpackaged them, cut some of the stems off (on an angle!) and added them to buckets of water with the flower food that came with the flowers.

Sam’s Club also sells bulk flowers. Click here to see what they offer. Their options look very similar, if not better than Costco’s.

Sam’s Club even has a wedding section that includes pre-assembled bouquets that range from $100 – $150, and centerpieces for $250 – $400 in quantities of 6.

One IMPORTANT thing to note is once the order shipped from Columbia, the order on Costco’s site said cancelled. It didn’t track correctly until it entered the United States. Then the UPS tracking was accurate and reflected the delivery date which was on time.
