Living Room Update

Fall project… Update the living room!

Below are photos of the existing Living Room

The only work that has been done in this room is new flooring and paint. It was the first space we renovated because it was quick and easy and we haven’t put thought into it since. Now that the rest of the house is in better shape I want to update this room.

Goals for updating the Living Room:

1. Add storage:
   1. Install base cabinets on TV wall
   2. Mount TV on wall
2. Brighten the space:
   1. New wall base and window trim
   2. Update lighting
   3. Paint walls white
3. Update window treatments, raise curtain rod height
4. Bring life to the room:
   1. Add greenery
   2. Update wall décor – this one is hard! The wall behind the couch has been a challenge. I hung up the kids’ pictures because I was tired of looking at a giant blank wall. But these pictures look RIDICULOUS, they are just floating in space.
5. Add chair(s), replace area rug & throw pillows
6. Update coffee table: remove wheels or replace with new table
7. Update the faux beams… possibly paint them white to match ceiling or wrap with a lighter wood
